Severe acute illnesses that are normally require medical or surgical treatment in a doctor’s office, emergency room or hospital are not appropriate for home treatment.

Things to know about homeopathic remedies

  • Keep remedies out of the sunlight and away from all strong odors. Perfumes, chemical fumes, nail polish, hair spray, Tiger balm, toothpaste, menthol/mint, essential oils, etc. may cancel the remedy in the bottle.

  • Magnetic/electrical fields ( EMF) could alter the remedy in the bottle. As a precaution try to keep them away from computers, routers, phones and outlets.

  • Pour remedy pellets into lid of vial then pop the pellets in the cap into your mouth. Try not to touch the inner rim of the bottle or lid with your fingers to prevent contamination of the bottle.

  • Do not put pellets back into the remedy bottle if they should fall out onto the floor or your clothing. If you think a remedy bottle has been contaminated, have it replaced.

  • Do not eat or drink anything 30 minutes before or after taking a homeopathic remedy so that your mouth is free from taste.

  • Caffeine and other stimulants may alter the effect of the remedy. Caffeine or any “energy” drinks that can over stimulate.

  • Avoid camphor products: lip balms, cough lozenges, deep heat rubs, mint products, and essential oils. Any aromatic fumes (paint, ammonia, hair permanents, nail polish and remover, moth balls, etc.) should not be inhaled.

  • Do not use cannabis, this confuses the symptom picture.

  • Prescription drugs, recreational drugs or alcohol can alter the action of the remedy and you may need to adjust the dose.

  • Mental/emotional shocks and dental work may require acute remedies, after which you should resume daily chronic remedy schedule.
